"Harvey Hema" Character Design

Design created as part of my comic strip project for a cartooning class I took at College of DuPage. The rest of the project, including the comic strips and other materials, can be found in the "Fletcher Fennec, Ace Detective" project in my Comic Work folder.

Harvey is a bat toon, one of the oldest toons in town. This is why he remains completely black and white while most toons have modernized to include more colors and more modern outfits. Harvey is the brother of the mayor, and feels quite snubbed being essentially second in command. He unofficially acts as his brother's advisor, as well as working with the chief of police. He and Fletcher are rivals in that they are both rushing to solve the same case before the other does.
